Oh my god.

That was INCREDIBLE. It was small and simple; an interactive story rather than a challenging game, and I absolutely loved how you delivered the end!

Just a few mechanical suggestions, though.

Your crash boxes need a bit of work: I found that I was getting stuck to the sides of boxes and walking on thin air once or twice

Also, you need to make it so that when you're trying to navigate the boxes that fade in and out, you're pushed away from the box instead of getting trapped inside.

And as a purely aesthetic suggestion, add very soft piano music when 'The End' comes up, then fade to black. After it's been black for a few seconds, bring up a replay button.

Get this stuff shiny, and I honestly think this could make front page.

Pretty awesome.

This game was wicked fun; the high speeds, massive jumps, and hordes of enemies created a gratifying and fast-paced experience, but there was one thing that nearly ruined the entire game. The range on the giant spiders. Because they can hit you while they're still off screen, and the only way to predict where and when they will fire is by watching the spider itself, approaching the spider, or attacking one while there are others around, becomes a matter of luck and quickly turns into a rapefest where you have to restart again and again.

Awesome!

I absolutely love this game. Post apocalyptic/western style, an ass-kicking hero with no qualms about his role in society, a dash of humor, and giant robots. This is freaking awesome.

I have no idea what the guy below me is talking about; you can reload manually by pressing 'r', and the weapon switch function works great. Also, as soon as I got the bolt action, the handgun became next to useless, so the weapons are better balanced than he was saying. Maybe something was up with his computer.

Haha XD

Funny how the preview in this skin-maker has anti-aliasing while Minecraft itself does not XD

Great work here; I'll be using this a lot.

Could always set quality to low for that full-blown Minecraft effect ;)

Seriously.

I'd have thought developers would've figured this out by now!
NEVER set dash to a double-tap of the movement keys. This DESTROYS precise control. I never got past the second level thanks to this.

It might looks pretty, but that's nothing when it's downright unplayable.

Awesome.

The gameplay was challenging, but not too difficult, and some of the encounters featuring multiple ship types were extremely enjoyable, but what really made this game for me was the graphical style. The dark, pessimistic, atmospheric, and beautiful shades of gray and surreally glowing pale yellow was truly awe-inspiring and added so much to the game.

There were only two parts of the game that could easily be improved: the upgrade system, adding more upgrades and perhaps improving the heavy cannon a little, and the main game's music, which didn't match up at all with the music during the intro and outro.

My vote

gets directed towards Lalo Remes. Love the contrast of the little boat against the ocean and the towering defenses staring it down.

Neat!

The game is fun and the meat element is inventive, but it could get EXTREMELY cheap at times. For instance, I made it through most of the game with full meat, but then one of the guys that shoots twice in quick succession and stuns you with each shot was positioned on the other side of a short jump, but his rate of fire was high enough that there was no way I could make it over, considering the projectiles stop you in mid air. I proceeded to lose all my meat, and the game became nearly impossible after that. The werewolves and the various creatures surrounding them were collectively too powerful to fight without meat, so your only option is to run, but then you still have no meat and have no chance in the challenges ahead.

Perhaps if you didn't lose ALL your meat when you died, this wouldn't be such a problem.

As a fan of the Dead Space franchise...

Fucking epic.

Just thought you should know.

I'm so happy I'm finally seein reviews from people who know what Dead Space is

Amazing.

This game was brilliantly designed; extremely well coded, fun, imaginative, and gifted with a story that pushed me to continue. I however, have one extremely major frustration: the boost function. It serves almost no purpose, and killed me so much that the last level was almost completely unplayable. A note to you, and any other flash developer reading this; never, EVER, have the boost function activated by tapping a direction key twice. This cripples the player's ability to carefully maneuver, and in a platformer, that is elementary.

Tried animation, quickly learned it wasn't for me. So hey there, welcome to a writer's NG profile :) Message me if you're interested in a sample of my work, or my services, if I might be so bold.
